Mask Giveaway

In an effort to stop the spread and prevent Coronavirus in Uniontown, CHOICE volunteers handed out 1214 masks that were donated by sponsors such as Uniontown’s own Harvest Select on May 7, 2020.

As reported by Alabama Department of Public Health, Perry County positive cases of COVID 19 went from 9 to 15 within a couple of days.  While the increase is contributed to the increase number of COVID19 testing offered within the City of Uniontown, CHOICE continues to find resources to help the Uniontown community. The next scheduled COVID 19 testing by CHOICE’s community partners is tentatively scheduled for May 21, 2020 at the Uniontown City Park.

While giving out the masks, CHOICE volunteers assisted 83 households complete their 2020 Census. The shirts worn by the volunteers were provided by Perry County Commission.  The face shield worn were donated to the organization by BlackBelt Museum. Don’t forget to complete  your  census at www.2020census.gov. Lets ALL be Counted!
