During the week of August 3, CHOICE hosted their annual A3 Summer Camp virtually. With a direct focus on academic, arts and athletics, more than 10 campers in grades 4th-6th participated in a week long experience. The campers experiences included:
- *Computer Coding with Issac Earley of NXTGEN Engineering
- *Painting with Sierra Murphy of Goldman Contractors, LLC
- *Academic Learning with Alabama Cooperative Extension
- *Social Well-being Workshop with Alabama Department of Public Health.
- Each camper received a bag that included all necessary supplies including a $10 gift card to Dollar General to purchase snacks, books to read from Zeta Eta Omega Chapter-Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and STEM kits donated by family member of Eugene and Priscilla Mason.
We thank our collegiate volunteers, Ariel Smith and JaAda Vaughn for serving as this year’s Camp Coordinators. Moreover, we are so thankful for the continued response of our community partners as we seek to be a resource and give back.
