Get Out to Vote Caravan

As part of our Civic Empowerment Initiative, we will join

The Selma Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. “Get Out to Vote” Caravan on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2:30pm from the Uniontown City Park.

The community is encouraged to come to the common areas, including downtown, to be a part of the experience and receive goodies from the caravan participants.

The route will start at the city ballpark on Hamburg Rd, traveling east, pass The Meadows Apartments and crossing Highway 183 to Highway 61 via Broadway Street. At Highway 61, turn right (North) and left on North Street. . . Take left at end of North St., proceed to Franklin St. toward post office. . . Take right onto Water St. going through downtown area and crossing Highway 80. . . Make a right onto Green Street and a left onto County Road 53. The caravan will then proceed onto South Street making its way through District 3, then onto Lucian St., coming out by the Community Life Center. . . Make a right onto County Road 53 towards the Cedars community.. . Make a left onto Leroy Brown Drive coming out on the backroad. The caravan will turn right onto Green Street then go towards the Cahaba Apartments and through the Village community. A loop will be made through the Village, then, head back to County Road 1 to town. The caravan will go through Plumblee, make a loop and proceed to/cross Hwy. 80 onto Hwy. 183. The caravan will proceed to Buck Avenue and end back at the ball park.
